A Little Help From You Can Keep a Family Together

You probably aren't going to foster a pet or drive one across three states yourself. But that doesn't mean you can't be the reason a family never has to say goodbye.

The Crisis That Almost Always Has a Solution

Every week, families contact us facing situations that feel impossible. An elderly man on a fixed income whose cat needs a $400 medication he can't afford. A family about to lose their housing who don't know where their dog will go. A single parent whose pet needs a procedure they can't cover. In almost every one of these situations, the gap between staying together and losing a pet is small and concrete.

What Your Donation Actually Does

Stay Together support: Your gift can cover a vet bill, help with boarding during a crisis, or connect a family with pet food and housing resources. We have seen a few hundred dollars save a ten-year bond.

Rehoming assistance: When a family cannot keep their pet, your gift funds the vet care, transport, fostering, and placement to get that pet safely to a loving new home.

The Math of Impact

Roughly 6 million pets enter US shelters every year. About 1.8 million are family pets surrendered by their own guardians. Research consistently shows that around 70% of those surrenders are preventable with the right targeted support. That's about 1.26 million pets a year losing their families, not for lack of love, but for lack of a few hundred dollars at the right moment.

You Don't Have to Do It All

When a family is facing a $400 veterinary bill and has $350, the gap is $50. The national problem is enormous, but individual solutions are small and specific. Your $50 can be the whole answer for the family we help next week.
